Campaign of the Month: January 2008
A Deadly Affair
For good or ill, your characters will develop a Reputation based on your words, actions, inactions, and what others say about you. Rather than attempting to represent the myriad ways a given reputation could impact a character’s rolls with a single number, a character’s reputation will instead be denoted by a word (or possibly more than one word). That word will guide the gamemaster and player in determining modifiers for social rolls as appropriate.
Example: Kenaz has developed a reputation for Cruelty. This reputation will give him a bonus on intimidate checks, but a penalty to most diplomacy checks. If he had developed a reputation for honesty, it would give him a bonus to bluff and some diplomacy checks, but might penalize intimidate checks.
